Permanent Makeup, also known as micropigmentation, is a form of cosmetic tattooing.
It is designed to replicate the effects of your everyday makeup, so you can save time and money and gain confidence!

Using a specialist machine, pigment (the colour) is implanted into the top layer of your skin.
This is a two-part procedure.
An in-depth consultation takes place, as each treatment is individually tailored to your needs.
After your initial appointment, you will need to attend a touch-up appointment 4-8 weeks later, which is included in the initial cost.
To keep your treatment looking vibrant - maintenance colour boosts are usually required at 12-15 months (This is an extra cost, but discount is given to Symmetry Shrewsbury's previous clients.

Li-Ft® Saline Tattoo removal
Li-FT® is an all natural, safe yet powerful and effective hypertonic saline lightening solution that contains no chemicals and no acids.
Li-FT® Saline Tattoo Lightening Solution is tattooed into the area of the unwanted permanent makeup.
When Li-FT® is soaked into the skin, the natural effect of Osmosis begins to take place.
Li-FT® is a hypertonic solution, therefore it contains a higher amount of salt than the body contains., which enacts the process of Osmosis, that starts to move the pigment upward to the outer surface of the skin. This is then removed by the skins natural healing process.
In addition to the natural power of salt and the Osmosis process, Li-FT® contains both lemon seed and orange seed extract, which are known for their powerful fading and exfoliation properties.

The number of sessions needed will depend on whether you are aiming for complete removal, which is not always completely possible, or whether you only need to lighten the tattoo to be able to cover it.
The number of treatments, also depends on how the previous tattoo was carried out (pigment used, depth etc) and also your healing processes (skin type and any immune disorders etc).
​
For complete removal it could take up to 10 sessions.
For lightening to allow cover work to be done it could be as little as 3-6 sessions.
​
The skin must be left for a minimum 8 weeks to completely heal before repeat treatment can be done.
Scabbing will last 5-14 days depending on where you’ve had the removal and personal factors such as immune system etc. We must "embrace the scab" as the scab is an important part of this process and must be allowed to fall off naturally. Picking or forcing it off can disrupt the process and potentially cause scarring.
The longer the scab lasts, the maximum effects from the Li-FT®.

Emergency removal can be done within 24 - 48 hours of a tattoo being done, the sooner the better.
